Stoltenberg Appoints Douglas Herr as VP of Epic Practice and Client Relations

Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc., a leading healthcare information technology consulting firm, announced today the appointment of Douglas Herr as Vice President of Epic Practice and Client Relations. In this executive leadership role, Herr will focus on Epic vendor relations, Epic Practice growth, retention, recruiting oversight, and sales support. Herr will also manage Stoltenberg’s Epic consultants in both client relations and career development.

“As the healthcare industry rapidly advances and hospitals are challenged with Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements, the ability to utilize EHR data in a meaningful way is essential to improving health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety,” saidSheri Stoltenberg , president and CEO of Stoltenberg Consulting. “Doug’s ongoing healthcare IT work and extensive experience with Epic make him well-suited to understanding the needs of today’s caregivers to effectively implement EHR solutions that promote better care delivery and practice.”

Prior to joining Stoltenberg Consulting, Herr was Epic Practice Director with MaxIT Healthcare, an information technology consulting group for the healthcare market. There he led business efforts for the Epic Practice, including sales support and consultant leadership.

Herr graduated Cum Laude from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and is Epic Cadence Certified. Additionally, Herr is a member of the American Pediatrics Surgical Managers Association (APSMA), Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), Project Management Institute (PMI) – Boston Chapter, and the National Eagle Scout Association.
